Production Projects
Manager and Project Liaisons at DELPHI TECHNICAL CENTER Germany
As PPM I am responsible for projects done in UniGRAPHICS and CATIA in our company. My job involve project coordination and tracking, assigning resources, providing the necessary interface with the main PM in the US or with the customer. During last three years I worked for more than 14 month as Liaison at DELPHI Technical Center in Germany using UNIGRAPHICS and CATIA, together with their design team for defining the concept design of a new HVAC module for a VW van, and a Porsche sport utility. I was involved in all design process from packaging in car’s environment, to developing, detailing, actuation (valves, levers, links actuators, temperature sensors etc), assembling, error proofing, or servicing and finishing with production drawings for all components. Sept.,1998-June1999
Conversion Manager at Cambric Consulting SRL, Brasov, Romania As CM I was responsible for the projects done in UniGRAPHICS by a team of 7-12 Project Engineers. My work conducting this team consisted of providing technical assistance in solving the design or software problems occurring. I have to assure that every engineer understands the design intent of his part, that he is developing the right strategy for modeling it, and that there are no assembling, tooling or servicing problems for the unit. I assisted the PEs in the way they made use of the Cad system in order to have not only a correct model, but to keep it as simple and editable/modifiable as possible. My job also involves project coordination & tracking, assigning resources, estimating delivery dates, final checking & approval, and providing the necessary interface with the main PM in the US or with the customer. The projects range was from the modeling of injected HVAC plastic cases using reverse engineering, and transferring PRO/E&CATIA models in UG (tail lights, seat metal brackets etc), trough building new concept design HVAC modules and performing all the necessary modifications when the surrounding geometry changes. The modeling was done for functional, assembling and/or tooling purposes. Our projects come mainly from the automotive industry. All projects I worked on were done forWestern-European &US customers (General Motors,Volkswagen, Daewoo, Saab, Renault, US Electrical Motors,Bosch, etc) I also carried out training courses with new employers. Nov1997-Sept.1998: Project Engineer at Cambric Consulting SRL, Brasov, Romania the 3D Department Here I learned to use the following applications: modeling, drafting, assembly modeling, advanced modeling & mechanisms. I worked with UNIGRAPHICS for the 3D solid modeling mostly of HVAC plastic cases. Nov1996-Nov.1997
Engineer at ROMAN SA (the biggest Romanian trucks company) Here I made technology and dies for sheet metal parts (sheet body, oil tanks, fuel bin…etc) and I learned to use the EUCLID applications. Aug1995-Aug1996 (during the Master) Engineer at ROLEM SRL a company which provide the design elements for Mercedes
