Salary: US $

Relocate: Yes

On the Market: Looking

Industry: Semiconductor

I graduated from The University of Oklahoma with a Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering and from The University of America with a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering.  I am a very energetic, self-motivated, and goal driven person with strong communication and technical skills that are reinforced by being fluent in both English and Spanish. I enjoy working with people and I have superior leadership skills.

I worked with "confidential" , a producer of silicon wafers, for the semiconductor industry.  My position as a Process/Industrial Engineer gave me the opportunity to develop experience in identifying constraint areas, optimizing equipment and labor, and improving flow of material.  As a result, work efficiency and productivity increased through the different manufacturing areas of the company, and cycle time and cost were reduced.  Working as a Project Leader in several projects gave me the opportunity to interact with cross-functional groups, develop Blitzes, be an efficient team player, and complete on time successful projects.

My Master's Thesis research was focused on Human Factors, concerning specifically group collaboration and communication, and as a part of this research, I designed and developed experimental designs.  As part of my master's, I gained expertise in Quality Control, SPC, Experimental Design, Reliability, Optimization, Facilities Planning, and Computer Aided Manufacturing.  For my Bachelor’s Thesis in Chemical Engineering, I worked as a Chemistry Lab Researcher and I developed a commercially marketable form of Gypsum.  I also designed a manufacturing process including the layout and estimated costs of manufacture and the expected market.

I am confident that my experience along with my academic and bilingual skills would prove useful to your company.

·         Performed Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) studies on equipment through different manufacturing areas (crystal, modifications, lap, CVD, polish, cleaning, EPI). These studies identified specific equipment downtime states and corrective actions were taken which reduced downtime on specific tools.

·         Identified equipment constraints through factory and conducted reliability studies on equipment.

·         Analyzed manufacturing capacity constantly to optimize equipment and labor, and for planning purposes.

·         Re-designed equipment layouts in different areas, and developed modifications in production processes that optimized product flow and increased work efficiency and productivity.

·         Worked closely in teams in specific areas to identify ways to improve product yields, reduce variable costs, and improve utilities efficiencies.

·         Project Leader. Defined project plans, designed experiments and strategies, and worked closely in teams for the development of projects and its completion. The results obtained on one these projects increased the throughput in the inspection tools by 35%.

·         Maintained theoretical throughputs on equipment to determine capacity of the plant according to market conditions.

·         Maintained integrity of SAP database.

·         Reduced operating expense and improved productivity through elimination of non-value added activities in the manufacturing areas of the plant. The results for the Lap area achieved U$535000 dollars/year in savings that include yield improvement, reduction of consumables and reduction of labor.

·         Conducted labor time, and time and motion studies through all manufacturing areas. These studies were the basic platform for several projects through the plant.

Data Support Technician. Allegiance Telecom, Inc. Dallas, Texas.  6/00-8/00

·         Identified priority areas in order to determine constrains in flow, and worked with staff to determine process improvement strategies for the operations center.

·         Monitored and analyzed databases and provided solutions, and recommendations that facilitated installation, implementation, maintenance, and documentation of technical products.

·         Determined methods, routing and processes that produced a quality and cost effective product.

Graduate Research/Teaching Assistant. University of Oklahoma.  8/98-12/99

School of Industrial Engineering. Norman, Oklahoma.
