Qualifications:

DESIGN ENGINEERING:  Designed and built various machines:  Slitting Module. Material Accumulator.  Sheet Metal decurler.  Glue dispensing wheels.  Table top material rewinder.  Machine to punch patterned holes in vinyl.  100 ton Thermal Die Cut press. (Computer synchronized 4 cylinder [5 in dia] system.)  Vacuum chamber.  Emulsion applier for cylindrical screen printer.  CAM programming of 2-axis router.  Upgraded router from 3# 1hp head to 18# 3hp plunge router by counterbalancing with air cylinder.  Redesign of pump test stand.  (Replaced 11 relays and 4 timers with PLC and added functions.)  Designed tooling fixtures for assembly line.  Fixture to remove  3 cent clip from motor assembly and allow use of better adhesive.  Improved tooling for safer, simpler and more accurate use.  Combined two assembly steps into one machine on assembly line.

DRAFTING:  Use of  SolidWorks 2001, AutoCAD 97 LT, CADKEY97, DesignCAD 2D, DesignCAD 3D, and AutoCAD 2000 LT.  Trained in CATIA solids and surfaces.  Used Roland GRX and Calcomp 1023 Pen plotters in WIN95 and 98.  Developed drivers for Roland plotter in DesignCAD DOS version.  Drafted all machines designed.  Drafted tooling fixtures.  Drafted assembly drawings.  Drafted sheet metal drawings.  Created and updated plant layouts.  High school architectural drafting.  Worked closely with machine shop for production of drafted parts. 

ADMINISTRATION:  Training in conduction of meetings, Front Line Leadership, Excel, and Power Point.  Have supervised tooling department of 3 people.  Have done Cost justification and expenditure estimation.  Maintained project files for later repetition.  Initiated computerized inventory and work order system for tooling department.
