Initially
managed the start up production and assembly design of retail self-checkout,
U-Scan, systems. Trained all assembly personnel in the production processes
associated, while continuously improving the assembly design and concept.
Later moved to focus strictly on the Process Engineering aspects during
the initiation of new product lines and continuous product improvement
through process, casing design and component changes. Managed all Process
Engineering responsibilities for the Phoenix production facility and was
instrumental in assembly process changes in the Plattsburgh, NY production
facility.
· Managed all Engineering Change Orders (ECO)
affecting all aspect of the production processes. Coordinated the production
ECOs with the corporate office in Montreal, Canada, for design and spec
compliance and initiated ECOs based on design needs and process improvement.
