POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for the Engineering Department,
reporting directly to the Dir. of Operations.
Responsible for designing, implementing, validating,
and supporting processes pertaining to the manufacturing of biological
heart valves and tissue products.
Designed components and functional systems
to develop and improve products and facilitate manufacturing operations
for cardiovascular medical applications.
Responsible for conceptual design, specifications,
and detailed design while meeting schedule, cost, reliability, safety,
and quality requirements.
PROJECT
WORK:
Used Lean Manufacturing, SPC, Six Sigma and
other continuous improvement techniques to make manufacturing operations
efficient and productive.
Ensured compliance of engineering operations
with federal, provincial and local legal requirements (ISO9001, ISO1345,
FDA, EN46001, DGM, QSR, GMP, Health Canada).
Prepared, developed and executed test plans,
protocols, and other technical reports.
Performed IQ / OQ / PQs to validate and qualify
processes and equipment.
Researched and developed new and improved
manufacturing and inspection technology
Applied FMEA risk analysis with part drawings
to understand the physics of design issues.
