EXPERIENCE

Project / Production Manager – (Company) Minnesota  October 2001 to present

Oversaw and directed all Contractors and Construction for the creation of a complete Paper Coating Make-up and Converting facility from design, to first day of running product.

Researched and obtained all required Plant Permitting, from Hazardous Waste Generator to Storm and Water. 

Developed a company wide Safety Program which includes being the Chair on the Safety Committee that meets on a monthly basis to monitor the overall plant safety.

Directs all paper sheeting and packaging, which includes, scheduling, run dates, instruction to production workers and shipping.

Oversee all shipping to customers, Domestic and International.

Plant Engineer- American Coating Technology (ACT), Mound, Minnesota

October 1999 to September 2001. (company closed)

Oversaw the startup of a new paper converting facility, which included, design of plant layout, power distribution, management of mechanical and electrical contractors, designing and performing mechanical and electrical retrofits to increase the throughput of slitting and sheeting machines.

Developed and managed maintenance programs in the Mound converting facility and in two

coating facilities, one of which is an GMP coating facility. Tripled plant production throughput by designing, creating and implementing time and step saving packaging equipment that eliminated production bottlenecks. Managed Safety Programs at the Mound converting facility. Played a major role in the sales support team that helped in forecasting the production time and the costing of jobs. Wrote CNC programs for an automatic knife sharpening system.

Technical Sales Manager- DSP Control Group (DSPCG), Minneapolis, Minnesota

August 1997 to October 1999.

 

Oversaw domestic and international distribution of motion control product line.  Increased distribution sales by 300%. Scheduled and performed monthly Technical Training Seminars for clients and outside sales personnel. Coordinated meetings with and performed demonstrations of product line to prospects. Managed existing and created new accounts outside of distributor’s territories. Provided Customer Service Support for existing client base, by solving application problems, system analysis and managed specialized product enhancements with DSPCG engineering staff.

Project Engineer- Dynamic Systems Incorporated (DSI) Minneapolis, Minnesota

July 1996 to August 1997 (company closed).

Coordinated a team of engineers, and preformed the design of control systems for Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants. Interpreted project specifications and design electrical control systems. Designed SCADA and Monitoring Systems.

Controls  Engineer - Automated Systems and Control (ASC) Cedar Rapids, Iowa 

June 1994 to July 1996.

Application and implementation of conceptual control and computer designs to include:PLC and MMI programming, hardware design,  scheduling and management of electrical contractors on-site. Worked on projects from sales prospecting through final training and customer sign-off.

Involved in all levels of manufacturing automated pharmaceutical production equipment, from conceptual design, to training of operational and maintenance personnel at the customers facility.

Created a preventive maintenance program that directs customers how and when to perform proper maintenance procedures.
