1993-1994       Production Engineer - Extrusion Coating

                Responsible for process control, troubleshooting, new product development,raw material selection and setting up quality systems for ISO 9002 certification.
               
1995-1996       Project Engineer - Tandem Coextrusion Coating line project

                Part of a three member project team responsible for selection, installation and commissioning of a tandem co-extrusion coating line for flexible packaging and toothpaste tube laminates. Project cost USD 4 million. Worked on equipment specification and line configuration, vendor assessment and selection, technical negotiation, commissioning of the line and process standardisation.
                Visited USA, UK, Germany, Italy, Taiwan for on-site vendor assessment and technical discussions. Visited USA subsequently for final inspection of equipment prior to shipment and training on computer process control system.

1996            Promoted as Asst Manager - Extrusion

1996- Present   Responsible for production planning and control, in-process quality control and new product development.
                Supervised 9 management staff and 132 workmen.
                Worked on new co-extrusion technology, hands-on training of operators and supervisors on the process control system, vendor development for blown films and setting up quality control laboratory for in-process inspection.
                New products developed commercially include: toothpaste tube laminates, suture wrap, cable wrap, contraceptive laminates, etc.
                Visited Sudan in 1999 to develop new markets for pharmaceutical laminates.

2000            Promoted as Manager - Extrusion

                Recipient of University Gold Medal for topping in Mechanical Engineering stream.
