            Seeking a professional position in the area of Project, Manufacturing, Quality and or Tooling Engineer.

QUALIFICATIIONS SUMMARY

·         A strong background of progressively responsible experience, with an emphasis on Engineering, Manufacturing, Tooling, and Supervision.

·        Experienced in scheduling and coordinating work efforts, while implementing quality and control, to promote productivity.

·       Management experience includes coordination of quotes, work cell organization, tool sourcing, attending VA/VE meetings, and budget control of tooling.

·        Design meetings leader for Prototype and Hard tool.

·        Working with Six-Sigma and Compass teams to reduce cost and quality issues.

·        Over 15 years Moldmaker, working with plastic Injection, Compression, and Diecast.

·        Follow mold and gauge builds and verify gauge R&R’s

·        Liaison  for launch issues, installation issues, and Quality issues

·        New car launch, Matrix meetings, and sort parts at, (Atlanta, Chicago, Norfolk, Kansas City, Toronto Canada, and Louisville), Ford Assembly Plants as well as Dodge City to sort parts.

2001- 2002 Efficient Quality Services - Grand Rapids, MI.

Contract Quality Auditor

·         Third party Quality Inspection service.

·         Inspect plastic, mirror, and movement components for mirrors.

·         Write up flaws, dirt, and scratches, miss-assembled mirrors.

·         Work with the people on the assembly line.

·         Document where, when, and what all rejects are.

1998 – 2001 LEAR PLASTICS QS 9000 - MENDON, MI.

Project / Manufacturing / Tooling Engineer

·         Advising tool changes to eliminate quality issues and follow-up.

·         Work cell layout and organization.

·         Working with Compass and Six-Sigma Teams to reduce cost and Quality Issues

·         Part layout vs. steel layout to verify shrink.

·        Customer contact for Quality issues (Atlanta, and Chicago).

·         Troubleshooter at customer’s facility, working with Quality Engineers as well as on their assembly line, on installation issues.

·         Follow tooling for new interior lighting.

·         Build mock-up parts for lab testing.

·         Layout parts vs. steel layout to verify shrink.

·         Attend Quality meetings at the customer’s plants in Chicago and Atlanta.

·         Verify gauges and write gauge procedure.

·         Liaison for the launch team at Ford during pre-production through launch.

·         Layout work cells and assembly equipment for efficiency

·         Responsible for as many as 25 projects at one time.

·         Work with customer on new design of parts.

·         Attend meetings at Ford for Design Review with corporate sales and local designers.

·         Liaison from cradle to grave with customer concerns and quality issues.

·         I was responsible for new truck launch’s and traveled to numerous plants for quality issues.

·         Place tools, and work with tool shops on mold design.

·         Champion mold design.

·         Place secondary equipment and verify design.

·         Keep the budget for all tooling and authorize payment tool shops (as much as $1,500,000) for some programs.

·         Responsible for Engineering changes at the Lacks South Carolina facility.

1992 –1995 SERVICE MOLD – JENISON, MI.

            Tool Engineer / Sales Engineer

·         Assist in design of molds and stamping dies.

·         Assist in building of the molds.

·         Quote tooling and visit customer and report progress.

·         Build plastic, magnesium, and zinc molds some automotive, furniture, and some household.
