and manufacturing operations management as well as my expertise in international

My experience of over twenty years includes; engineering and technology

and business development with full P&L responsibilities in a multi
site, multi national environment. I speak Dutch, German and French

GENERAL MANAGER
· Private label manufacturer of high end candles for the gift and retail
industry.
· Responsible for sales development, finance, R&D, human resources
and all manufacturing operations. Full P&L responsibility for
the entire Milford, New Hampshire operation.
· Implemented factory reorganizations to improve efficiency, developed
long range factory automation designs in order to reduce direct labor
content of the votive and filled candle products.
Micro Robotic Systems, Inc.

PRODUCTION OPERATIONS MANAGER
· Manufacturer of robotic systems used in the assembly and packaging of
micro electronics.
· Responsible for manufacturing operations management including purchasing,
materials management, manufacturing engineering and process development.
· Instituted an out sourcing and vendor development program that allowed
for major capacity growth with minimal capital investment. This
program included vendor contract negotiations for price, delivery terms
and Kanban inventory deliveries.
Neles Automation, Inc.

MANAGER OF NORTH AMERICAN SERVICE OPERATIONS
1996-2000
· Manufacturer of precision electro/mechanical systems used for industrial
process control. Products were sold under the Valmet, Neles, Jamesbury
and Hammel-Dahl brand names.
· Responsible for creating the strategic business plan that launched the
after sales services business in North America. Full P&L responsibility
for 10 service locations, 6 in the US and 4 in Canada. Grew business
from start up to over $15 MUSD in 4 years, with operating profits of over
20%.
· Instituted mobile service capabilities for service centers by developing
a network of 35’ trailers that were mobile machine shops that could be
brought to the customer’s site for repair services during planned maintenance
outages.
· Implemented ISO/QS 9001 quality program throughout the North American
Service Center network.
· Responsible for environmental and safety programs at all locations in
the US and Canada.
· Served as technical liaison for all product liability and environmental
conformance issues.
MARKETING MANAGER-PULP AND PAPER NORTH AMERICAN
1995-1996
· Responsible for market development and sales for industrial controls
and instrumentation sold through authorized distributors and representatives
throughout North America and Mexico.
· Spearheaded project sales in the Pulp and Paper Industry in North America.
Successfully managed the largest project sale in the company’s history.
Developed a project management manual used by all international sales
offices and engineering locations worldwide.
PLANT MANAGER
1990-1995
· Responsible for manufacturing operations in Glens Falls, New York from
1990-1993 and the manufacturing operations located at the North American
corporate headquarters in Worcester, Massachusetts form 1993-1995.
· Full P&L responsibility for the entire operation including manufacturing,
Production planning, purchasing, manufacturing engineering, product design
engineering, sales, finance, quality and human resources.
· Used Just In Time and Kanban inventory management techniques as well
as refinements to the ERP system to reduce inventory by 50% in both the
Glens Falls and Worcester plants.
· Improved on time delivery performance at both plants from 50-60% on
time to 95-100%.
· Instituted an ISO/QS 9001 quality procedures and manuals. We successfully
passed our first audit and survey and all subsequent 6 month surveys at
both manufacturing locations.
· Interacted with other manufacturing locations in Finland, Germany, France,
Canada, Mexico and England. I initiated periodic meetings among
the other plant managers at one of our manufacturing locations on a rotating
basis to promote cooperation and exchanges of ideas among manufacturing
managers.
CHIEF ENGINEER
1981-1990
· Responsible for the management of new product development, R&D,
cost reduction programs, quality improvement programs and manufacturing
process development.
