Experience:
1/2001 - Present
Consultant
Work on different projects
for (3) companies for their molds, processing and shop requirements. One
company is a medical device manufacturer producing laprascopic medical
devices. Assembly of these devices, material procurement, product design,
mold design, and processing is my responsibility. Interaction with Vendors,
inter departmental coordination is done regularly on a daily basis. SPC,
FEA and Mold flow analysis are performed continually.
7/1999 - 1/2001
NTA, Inc. Orange Park, FL
Project Manager
Supported different shops for
design, manufacturing and assemblies. Products include injection molded
parts. Material used was PP, PE (HD & LD) and PC. Supported machine
and sheet metal shops for different tooling. We produced small to medium
size sheet metal enclosures for in-house applications.
Complete project responsibility
from inception to completion. Most of the time spent was solving production
problems and conflict resolutions - improving manufacturing recommending
tooling/product design modifications. Worked with qualified vendors for
price negotiation, completion schedules, and follow-up.
4/1995 - 6/1999
IP Container Corp. Saddle Brook, NJ
Chief Design Engineer
Redesigned injection cavities
and cores for better water flow ensuing into improvement of cycle time
by 10% and zero rejects. Analyzed and successfully implemented the redesign
of complete mold for PET blow molded bottles for pharmaceutical industry.
Researched and validated Ferromatik for injection molding machines to
produce bottle caps. Additionally, I purchased 32 cavity hot runner mold
(caps) and packaging equipment.

Forster Mfg. Co., Inc. Wilton, ME
Project Engineer
Managed production of plastics
cutlery and food containers, improving productivity, manufacturing and
packaging equipment. I was the co-manager of $12m plastic
manufacturing plant expansion project - purchasing injection molding machine,
molds, robot, and packaging equipment from Husky. In addition, I was responsible
for overseeing the construction of new 50,000 sq. ft. building, HVAC,
cooling, and pneumatics. That is, services and material handling system
was included into this total project responsibility.
