Product Development Engineer, (September 2002-Present)

Tasks included supporting testing to developing a sizing methodology for 2-ply PV bags. 
As well, as developing a sizing program for stand-up pouches.  Generating seal curves for some the standard films used by ExoPack.   Requesting, updating and compiling technical datasheets for their products from all of ExoPack’s paper suppliers.  Support  product development projects by compiling data, preparing samples, and sending out samples to participating plants.   In addition, gained familiarity with the technical testing methods for both paper and plastic packaging with ExoPack’s technical lab.

Corrugated Packaging Design Assistant, (May 2000-January 2001)

Mead Containerboard, Meta Systems Design Department. Atlanta, Georgia. 

Duties involved assisting packaging engineers in design projects development and design of secondary packaging, operating a Kongsberg prototype table, conducting corrugated-oriented lab testing, interaction with fiberboard suppliers and customers, and basic knowledge of TOPS & CAPE programs.

Civil Engineer Specialist, (Summer Intern-May 1998-August 1998) South Carolina Department Of Transportation.North Charleston, South Carolina.

Responsibilities included gathering data, sketched cross-sections
& profiles, and performed surveying.

Senior Capstone Design-Package Development Project
          Consisted of creative phase and packaging design brief

          Determined specifications for materials, performance, process & finished goods.

Senior Distribution Project
          Scope: Delivery of a packaged product from point of manufacture to point of sale, with assured product protection and lowest cost.
          Included devising a distribution test plan for a reusable transport container.
          Scope consisted of determining damage at any time during testing w/ the ability to reuse the container in a safe and damage free condition.
          Project also comprised of the awareness of atmospheric pre-conditions, vibration testing, compression testing, and shock testing.
