LOCATION: Pennsylvania

INDUSTRY: · A rapidly growing high technology medical device company. Polymers.

SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES: · Assist in polymer product, and processing development leading to manufacturing scale-up and validation. Evaluate existing injection molding and extrusion operations for improved productivity, efficiency, reliability, and conduct process capability studies. Prototype, design, and verify tooling & fixturing, primarily for secondary operations. Monitor processing, assembly, secondary operations and packaging operations. Assist product development efforts by working with bioabsorbable polymer products & processes.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: · Excellent written & verbal communication skills, computer literate and basic engineering skills required. Knowledge or experience in plastic processes, including injection molding & extrusion, statistics, lab practices & CAD/design a plus.

REPORTS TO: · Engineering Manager

SUPERVISES: · Minimal

EDUCATION: · B.S. in mechanical, chemical, or plastics engineering.


EXPERIENCE OR EQUIVALENT: · Minimum of 1-2 years related industry experience. Polymers.
