SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Facilities Engineer provides engineering support to the processing and utility areas of the facility. The individual manages all aspects of capital projects. The individual will be responsible for engineering and technical aspects of Utilities and Stores. The Facilities Engineer supports plant quality policies, ISO standards, PSM, and procedures as required.

· Serves as line engineer for the Utilities department, i.e. Boiler House, etc.
· Designs process equipment within scope of engineering standards as required for capital installation. · Determines proper methods for a safe job.
· Issues purchase requisitions for equipment and contractors.
· Provides scheduling and oversight for contractors performing work and services.
· Monitors work for proper installation of equipment.
· Analyzes and proposes solutions with equipment problems
· Evaluates the purchasing for stores to ensure maximum efficiency
· Monitors project schedules and costs.
· Makes recommendations or presentations to plant, corporate, vendors and contractors

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
· Familiarity with AutoCad and Project management software packages is necessary.
· Knowledge of electrical/instrument/DCS is helpful.
· Knowledge of generation/steam turbines helpful.
· Strong communication skills
· Proven decision making capability
· Strong team member participation skills
· Professional demeanor and presentation abilities
· Self-motivator

REPORTS TO: Maintenance/Utilities Manager

SUPERVISES: n/a

EDUCATION: · B.S. Degree in Engineering required.

EXPERIENCE OR EQUIVALENT:
· Prior experience in project management/ manufacturing design and familiarity with Process Safety Management desired.
