INDUSTRY: Specialty Resins

SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Although the duties may change somewhat depending upon the strengths of the successful applicant. The Plant has 5 Specialty Resin PVC operating lines, each with distinct products and process equipment. The Manufacturing Manager has responsibility for operation of a 24/7/365 continuous operation involving VCM polymerization and PVC processing. Strong commitment to the principles of Operational Excellence, Responsible CARE and safety and environmental perfection is required. Strong interpersonal skills are essential in this position, and leadership ability is a key.

· Monitor and coordinate plant production to meet objectives in safety, environmental, meeting production schedules, delivering quality, controlling costs and improving process efficiencies.
· Provide technical support for troubleshooting problems
· Drive operational excellence effort at the plant by focusing on ownership of the plant at all levels
· Drive safety/environmental performance by assisting in establishing HS&E direction.
· Act as Customer Complaint System (CCS) Primary Complaint Coordinator for Resin
· Provide assistance and leadership with Quality Leader for ISO systems, consistency and capability efforts at the plant.
· Provides technical support for the boiler house and water plant operations.
· Promote necessary cultural change relative to developing teamwork, resolving conflicts, improved performance behavior and individual acceptance and ownership of process equipment

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
· Excellent MS Office skills, particularly with Excel
· Excellent oral, written and presentation skills
· Excellent leadership potential

SUPERVISES: n/a

EDUCATION:
· B.S. in Chemical Engineering preferred, B.S. in Chemistry or M.B.A. will be considered

EXPERIENCE OR EQUIVALENT:
· 3-5 years experience in the operation of a PVC resin plant, either in a technical engineering or an operational management position
