SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The PRINTPACK
Corporate Engineering Department is seeking a qualified candidate to fill
the position of Mechanical Engineer, located in the Atlanta office. This
position will report to the Director of Engineering. The successful candidate
must possess a degree in engineering as well as eight (8) or more years
of mechanical engineering experience.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· The development of scope and cost estimate for projects.
· The managing of the implementation of projects, which includes controlling
costs and schedules.
· Project coordination and communication with contractors, other engineering
disciplines, and customers.
· Mechanical equipment installations and upgrades.
· Facilities construction and upgrades.
· The design of engineered systems, such as HVAC and chill water systems.
· Problem solving of technical issues, including the ability to exercise
independent judgement.
· Consulting with customers in problem identification/problem solving
for mechanical issues.

REPORTS TO: Director of Engineering
SUPERVISES: n/a
EDUCATION: B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
is required, EIT or PE is preferred.
EXPERIENCE OR EQUIVALENT: Eight (8)
or more years of mechanical engineering experience.
· Industrial project management experience.
· Written and verbal communications skills.
· Interpersonal skills.
· Problem solving skills.
· Mechanical equipment. design, specification, negotiation, and procurement
experience.
· Computer literacy in PC base applications including Windows, spreadsheets
and word processing.
· The ability to work independently.
