SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are currently seeking a Project Manager who will report to the Technical
Director of Product Development in Fort Wayne, IN. We offer advanced sealing
solutions in specialty materials for a range of industrial applications;
high performance, security-critical seals to the automotive industry for
application areas such as steering, fuel control, air conditioning, air
induction and driveline systems. Trelleborg’s aircraft seals are
used essentially in almost all major commercial and military aircraft
programs. Key application areas are engines, flight controls and actuators,
landing gear, airframes, wheels and brakes. Most of our products are marketed
under the Busak+Shamban brand.
Responsibilities of the position will include coordinating of technical
resources to identify and root cause any project issues; and developing
and managing a plan to fix, test and implement through completion. Candidate
will also provide team leadership to multiple project teams including
planning, budgeting, scheduling, assignment of work and project support.
Will also be responsible for tracking, utilizing deliverable milestone
methods, critical path planning, resource allocation and task estimation.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to generate a project plan that meets the control process,
while maximizing resource efficiency. Also responsible for providing project
status against schedule in monthly reviews and as needed to executive
management; and ensuring that adequate equipment and material resources
are available to advance the project and achieve goals and objectives.
REPORTS TO: Technical Director
EDUCATION: Potential candidates must
possess a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field;
MS preferred.
EXPERIENCE OR EQUIVALENT:
8 to 10 years of development experience, including 3 years in successful
technical leadership, project coordination, or project management is also
required. Candidate must have excellent communication skills and be able
to travel as needed. Must be fluent with MS Office and MS Project.
Full and comprehensive knowledge of the complete product cycle including
all aspects of product development from conception to manufacturing introduction
is; and experience in the development and release of at least one successful
product launch.
