BASF at cosmetics trade
fair in Amsterdam
BASF is to present its extensive expertise in cosmetics and personal
care at the international trade fair for cosmetics in Amsterdam.
BASF will be presenting its product portfolio for cosmetics and personal
care at the in-cosmetics show taking place in Amsterdam, the Netherlands
from April 15-17. The company's presentation at this international trade
fair for cosmetics starting materials and ingredients is located at Stand
F 180. More than 400 exhibitors from about 30 countries will be presenting
at the show.
Luviquat* Sensation: innovative polymer for shampoos and hair care products
with excellent conditioning properties
Freshly washed hair should be easy to comb, but still have plenty of volume
and a soft, natural feel after drying. Until now, combinations of various
polymers and silicones were necessary to achieve those effects. Luviquat
Sensation, the innovative shampoo polymer developed by BASF, now meets
all those requirements at once. The polymer also has excellent handling
features. While many polymers are provided in powdered form and need to
be dissolved prior to formulating the product, Luviquat Sensation is a
water-based solution that can be mixed directly into the shampoo formulation.
It saves both time and money. Luviquat Sensation gets its first public
airing at the in-cosmetics show.
Reliable UV protection all day long
People want to stay healthy, youthful and wrinkle-free for as long as
possible. One of the main prerequisites is effective protection from harmful
UV radiation. Whatever formulation is used to achieve effective UV protection
- creme, lotion, spray or oil – it needs to contain both UVA and UVB filters.
The innovative BASF filter Uvinul* A Plus Granular provides reliable protection
against harmful UVA radiation, and makes product formulation even easier.
The high-performance photostable UVA filter is particularly suitable for
end products with a high sun protection factor.
Reflecks*: iridescent effect pigments for decorative cosmetics
Majestic colors and glittering effects: eye shadows, nail varnishes and
lipsticks containing BASF Reflecks pigments are sure to attract attention.
The effect pigments appear first in one color, then in another, depending
on the angle of vision. End products containing Reflecks pigments shift
from a gentle silky shimmer to metallic glitter and back. Reflecks effect
pigments are perfect for creative cosmetic applications in line with the
latest trends.
