BASF Coatings environmentally friendly car tuning paints At the Paris Tuning Show, RM, BASF Coatings paints brand world premieres a splash of color while setting a clear signal for environmental protection.
At the Paris Tuning Show, R-M, BASF Coatings’ paint brand, appeared with a splash of color and set a clear signal for environmental protection. Carizzma, the premium paint for car tuning, is VOC-compliant. It can be seen at the large R-M booth in Hall 4, booth C 39 at the Paris Tuning Show from February 29 to March 3. At this leading international trade show, R-M proved that coatings used in car tuning can be colorful and spectacular, making them highly attractive for the burgeoning tuning market, while even exceeding stringent environmental requirements. The name of the new premium coating finish with its brilliant colors is Carizzma. It clearly emphasizes a vehicle’s silhouette – but without making a loud or brassy impression. R-M is using the innovative automotive paint to position itself in the rising market segment of car tuning, offering solutions for the trend toward ever greater individualization of cars. “Tuning” ceased to be the exclusive domain of very young people a long time ago. In fact, it has become a movement comprising car owners from nearly every age bracket who are tuning a growing share of mid-size cars and top-class vehicles, aiming to stand out from the crowd. Professionality and quality thus play a major role in all aspects of car tuning, especially when it comes to refinishing.
In developing Carizzma, R-M tapped into its years of experience with ONYX HD, a paint system that was successfully launched in 1995. Carizzma was developed on the basis of this waterborne basecoat and is now offering refinishers nearly unlimited possibilities. The color palette covers a wide range, from iridescent colors, deep pastel colors, metallic, chrome, and pearlescent effects, to the possible use of mat clearcoat. Carizzma is providing excellent opportunities for bodyshops and paint shops. With Carizzma, they can expand their target group and set colorful and eye-catching accents with truly spectacular finishes. R-M has developed seminars for advanced spraypainters and experts, as well as VIP seminars, which have been conceived to take place on a cross-continental basis, directly integrating the know-how of experts from the United States. Just how mesmerizing Carizzma can be to the audience was demonstrated at the show featuring four Audi TTs at the Paris Tuning Show. Clad in Carizzma colors, they were genuine eye-catchers and certainly anything but plain. After the Paris Tuning Show, the four vehicles will be touring six European countries, appearing as part of motor shows, road shows, customer events, R-M’s Best Painter Contest, company anniversaries, and even at festivals such as the one in Cannes. By the way, Carizzma has applications in other areas, too. The new paints and coatings have already been used to coat boats, airplanes, bicycles, and jet skis. As you can see, Carizzma is making heads turn on land, on the road, on water, and in the air – making the world more colorful – and more individual.
