ExxonMobil to showcase at Plastics and Rubber Trade Show

ExxonMobil Chemical to showcase their latest products and technologies at Chinaplas 2008, the Plastics and Rubber manufacturing and processing exhibition.

ExxonMobil Chemical announces it will have its biggest presence ever at the 22nd International Exhibition on the Plastics and Rubber Industries, CHINAPLAS 2008, and will showcase its plastics and rubber products and technologies at Booth B31, Hall W2 at the New International Expo Centre in Shanghai from April 17-20, 2008.

“This is our eighth consecutive year at Chinaplas and it shows our commitment to and confidence in the China market,” said Jim Harris, senior vice president, ExxonMobil Chemical. “We continually seek opportunities to respond to customers' needs and are fully committed to being a reliable, global supplier and technology leader.”

China has become one of the foremost producers of plastics and plastics machinery in the world and is a major consumer of plastic resins.

A wide range of plsatics and rubber products will be showcased at the exhibition, including Exceed* mPE, Nexxstar* collation shrink and stretch hood resin film formulations for packaging integrity, ExxonMobil LDPE, LLDPE and HDPE, ExxonMobil* PP, Achieve* mPP, Vistamaxx* Specialty Elastomers, Exact* Plastomers, Santoprene* and Exxtral* Specialty Products, Vistalon* EPDM, Jayflex* DINP, Jayflex DIDP, Metallyte* barrier films, Label-Lyte* OPP (oriented polypropylene) Films and our latest product, Enable* mPE, just launched earlier this month.

The Films Business of ExxonMobil Chemical is a leading global supplier of a full range of OPP films for flexible packaging and labelling applications.

These products are used in various applications including packaging, nonwovens, automotive, industrial, consumer goods and wire and cable.

In addition, visitors will be able to see how ExxonMobil Chemical’s plastics, polymers and rubber products are used in the manufacturing process. ExxonMobil Chemical has teamed up with several machine manufacturers at the exhibition to demonstrate various applications on manufacturing lines. These demonstrations will include plastics applications such as high clarity films for flexible packaging and lamination, films for medium and heavy duty bags, injection molding parts for housewares, rigid packaging and automotive.

The company will also conduct seminars at the Shanghai Expo Centre on polymers for nonwoven fabrics, specialty plasticizers, trends in thermoplastic elastomers, and the superior benefits of metallocene technology in freezer film applications.

ExxonMobil Chemical has been doing business in China for over 20 years with a wholly-owned plasticizer plant in Panyu, Guangdong province, and a resins joint-venture in Jinshan near Shanghai. With its integrated petrochemical manufacturing and marketing operations around the world the company's products include olefins, aromatics, fluids, synthetic rubber, plastics products including polyethylene, polypropylene, oriented polypropylene packaging films, plasticizers, as well as, synthetic lubricant basestocks and additives for fuels and lubricants. There is a customer service center located in Shanghai and sales and marketing offices in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou.
