Specialty chemicals group LANXESS innovations for coatings applications At the recent Middle East Coatings Show in Dubai leading specialty chemicals group LANXESS AG showcased innovations in premium products for the coatings industry.
The specialty chemicals group LANXESS AG made its first ever appearance at the Middle East Coatings Show in Dubai in March. At this important trade show, the Inorganic Pigments business unit (IPG) presented its broad range of inorganic pigments for coatings applications and the coloration of concrete. The company appeared together with Recon Chemicals, the distributor with which the local LANXESS Marketing Team collaborates to serve customers in the Gulf region from their offices in Dubai. Thomas Pfeiffer, IPG head of Marketing Middle East & Africa says: “The market is proving to be increasingly receptive to our superior quality and service advantages. As the largest coatings industry trade show in the entire Gulf region, the Middle East Coatings Show is the ideal platform for deepening our ties to customers in the Middle East. Visitors from the United Arab Emirates and the entire region showed up with great interest in the products from our proven Bayferrox and Colortherm lines.” Dubai, known throughout the world for superlative projects such as artificial islands in the shape of palm trees and the world’s tallest skyscraper, is representative for the possibilities of the Middle East and Africa region. As one of the world’s leading manufacturers of iron oxide pigments, LANXESS specialty chemicals group hopes to deepen its involvement in this growing market and showcased its competence in the field of pigments at the Middle East Coatings Show. In addition to established high-performance pigments such as Bayferrox 130 M and Bayferrox 3910 premium-grade micronized iron oxide pigments, innovations including the low-viscosity yellow pigments Bayferrox 915 and Bayferrox 3910 LV were also presented. Besides its low viscosity, Bayferrox 943 also offers a unique shade in the iron oxide yellow range. Another innovation is Bayferrox 360, a black pigment characterized by its blue undertone in combination with a high tinting strength.
