Delhaize Chooses Thor Pot Packaging for Freedom Fresh Range

Belgian supermarket chain Delhaize has selected RPC Containers Blackburn’s Thor Pot clear packaging container for its new range of curry sauces.

Manufactured for Delhaize by RD Foods, the Freedom Fresh range comprises Indian Curry, Pakistani Curry, Thai Curry and Portugese Peri-Peri flavors. Delhaize wanted a convenient packaging format that would combine branding benefits, such as stackability and a wide labelling area for on-shelf impact, with a number of features valued by consumers, including microwaveable and recloseable options.

After looking at various packaging options on the market, RD Foods saw the perfect blend of qualities in the Thor Pot, RPC Blackburn’s market-leading solution in food pots. Injection molded in polypropylene, the Thor’s robust, shatterproof design and wide opening ensures safe, convenient handling for consumers. A tamper-evident tab delivers product security while the snug fitting, resealable lid maintains product freshness after opening.

For the new range, a 500ml Thor Pot packaging container has been selected in contact clear PP to allow the contents to be seen by consumers. Colorful wraparound labels provide further branding.
