New Barrier Tub is Ideal for Packaging Olives

Portugese olive producer Macarico S.A. has chosen RPC Bebo Nederland’s latest tub for the ideal packaging presentation and preservation of its new product range.

RPC Bebo Nederland’s range of 115mm barrier tubs have proved highly successful across a number of markets. The recent introduction of a 350ml capacity size is aimed directly at the olive market, for which this is a standard size and a regular sight in supermarkets across Portugal and other countries.

When Maçarico introduced a new product range of olives which are marinated in olive oil with aromatic herbs, the company recognized that the new RPC tub was ideal for its packaging requirements. “We wanted something that combined functionality, in terms of barrier protection, with an attractive appearance, and RPC had the perfect packaging solution,” comments the Quality Control representative of Maçarico S.A.

Thermoformed in transparent PP/EVOH/PP packaging, the new tub enables consumers to see the products, and the tub is suitable for pasteurization.

“This new size extends the proven qualities of our 115mm PP/EVOH/PP range, and we feel confident that food companies worldwide will follow Maçarico’s example by selecting it as a high-quality packaging solution,” comments Dirk Wasser of RPC Bebo Nederland.
