NAIT Sandvik Coromant Centre for Machinist Technology

Special quests and Gov representatives were invited to the recent opening of the NAIT Sandvik Coromant Centre for Machinist Technology in Edmonton, Canada.

Some 200 specially invited guests including representatives from the Government took part when the NAIT Sandvik Coromant Center for Machinist Technology was inaugurated in the middle of March. The updated facility, almost three times the size of the old training space, was possible thanks to a partnership agreement between Sandvik Coromant Canada and North Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT). This will increase NAIT’s apprenticeship training capacity by 60% - from 440 to 660 apprentices a year.

NAIT is one of the pre-eminent institutes of technology in Canada and provides real-world education in business, advanced technologies and skilled trades to more than 80,000 students annually at 15 locations in the province of Alberta and in 23 countries around the world.
