Sidel at Expo Pack packaging trade show in Mexico

Sidel to attend Expo Pack 2008 to exhibit its food and beverage packaging solutions along with the range of Sidel equipment and services available in Latin America.

After recently opening its new Package Design and Development Center in Guadalajara, Sidel will be attending Expo Pack Mexico 2008. Proximity, responsiveness, and service remain top priorities for Sidel customers.

Sidel’s philosophy is to build a presence near its customers, in the heart of various markets, to establish a local beachhead of technical expertise. This philosophy led to the creation of the Group’s 150-employee subsidiary in Guadalajara, Mexico. Here, Sidel handles requests from manufacturers in Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean. Sidel Mexico has over 1,500 machines installed in the zone and offers customers Sidel’s full range of products including full lines, blow molding, filling, labeling, capping, conveying, and end of line equipment. Solutions are available for beverages packaged in PET, glass, and metal cans. Since May 2008, a new 1,200-sq-meter Package Design and Development Center has been added to the subsidiary to better serve Mexican customers as they grow. The center offers comprehensive local services for plastic bottle manufacturing from bottle shape design to industrial qualification, mold production, and commissioning. With this new manufacturing capacity of some 2,000 molds per year, Sidel Mexico will be exhibiting a range of molds at the trade show that can be adapted for use on all blow molding machines and all processes, even for equipment made by other manufacturers.

Sidel Mexico also handles the installation, maintenance and management of machines throughout their life cycles (Life Cycle Management). In fact, in late 2007, these services received the “Award for Service Excellence” from the Modelo Group, Mexico’s beer industry leader.

At its 162-sq-meter Expo Pack booth, Sidel will exhibit a Hema GW 24/8K filler. This is an electronic weight filler primarily for the edible oil market. Ergonomic, easy to use, and featuring extremely accurate filling, this filler is quite versatile. It can fill containers made of glass, plastic, or metal, ranging in size from 25 cl to 5 L.

Experts will also be on hand to present the Veloce FM (flow meter), a new hot filler with an electronic flow meter filling valve that guarantees very precise filling.
