Cessna Aircraft Completes Wing Mate on First Citation CJ4 Cessna Aircraft Company has completed wing mate on the first Citation CJ4 business jet which is due to make its first journery later this year.

It's the new flagship of the CJ family from Cessna Aircraft Company, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company - the Citation CJ4. First flight of the newest member of the CJ family is scheduled later this year, with entry into service planned for the first half of 2010. A new moderately swept wing design borrowed from the successful Citation Sovereign aircraft coupled with new Williams FJ44-4A engines produce exceptional performance benefits and 3,400 lbs. of thrust, that deliver a maxiumum payload of 2,100 lbs. The CJ4 is an outstanding combination of power, size and speed that will comfortably put you in the 500-mph club and deliver 1,825 nm of range with NBAA IFR 100 nm reserves.
With a Maximum Cruise Speed of 435 KTAS (806 km/hr) at 35,000 ft (10,668 m) and a new moderately swept wing design borrowed from the successful Citation Sovereign coupled with new Williams FJ44-4A engines the CJ4 produces exceptional performance benefits. The CJ4 aircraft is an outstanding combination of power, size and speed that will comfortably put you in the 500-mph club and deliver 1,825 nm of range with NBAA IFR 100 nm reserves. The CJ4's flight deck has a fully integrated Pro Line 21 avionics suite consisting of four 8" x 10" displays providing the latest in graphical weather, traffic surveillance and navigation information. Include an Engine Indication and Crew Alerting System (EICAS), electronic charts and two CDUs, and you've got a pilot's dream come true. And the electrically heated glass windshield and side windows make the cockpit whisper quiet. This biggest-ever CJ cabin, at 17 feet in length, is almost two feet longer than the CJ3 cabin, and with new seats and new sidewall configuration, it provides more leg, seat and shoulder room than any CJ aircraft in history. And while you're relaxing in that spaciousness, you can enjoy a passenger information and entertainment system that is world-class. The Citation CJ4 is an aerodynamic work of art.
