Valmet Automotive Opens New Office

The new location for Valmet Automotive in Germany will guarantee a closer communication with car manufacturers and cooperation partners.

Valmet Automotive, a contract manufacturer of specialty cars located in Finland, has opened a new office in the center of Frankfurt am Main in Germany. Car manufacturers and cooperation partners will experience closer communications from the new location.

“We want to be present and available at the very early stage, when car manufacturers are planning their new projects”, says Mr Ilpo Korhonen, the president of Valmet Automotive.

Frankfurt was chosen thanks to its ideal strategic location and good infrastructure. The International Motor Show also makes the city an important meeting point for the key-players of the automotive industry.

Mr Bernard Girard, the new vice president Marketing & Sales, who took over his new functions with Valmet in the beginning of March, will head the new office. He is widely conversant with the automotive industry and has a long experience as well as a profound understanding of the automotive business gained from various functions in product development, manufacturing and marketing.

“The first weeks at Valmet Automotive, starting with the Geneva Motor Show and followed by a familiarization phase at the headquarters in Finland have motivated me in my new function. Valmet Automotive’s special know-how and strong experience in specialty car projects create excellent conditions to produce the services expected by OEM-clients. The stable background, which Valmet Automotive’s strong global owner Metso ensures is also a clear asset”, notes Mr Girard.
