part of its ongoing effort to divest non-core assets, Textron Inc. announced
the sale of its remaining InteSys Technologies business to Dallas, Texas-based
Moll Industries, a leading plastic injection molding manufacturer. The
sale includes InteSys operations located in Costa Mesa, California;
Donegal, Ireland and Empalme, Mexico.
Moll Industries, Inc. serving the major medical, appliances and consumer
products markets since 1945, consists of six US locations containing
225 injection molding presses, ranging from from 33 to 1450 tons.
Moll also supplies secondary processes, supply chain solutions and services
to augment core competencies in multi-shot, insert molding, post mold
decorating, over molding and total logistics management. Plastic processing
with respect to; Multi-Shot, Insert Molding, Stack Molding, Gas Assist
Molding, Thin Wall Molding and Over Molding.
InteSys facilities in these locations manufacture injection-molded components
for garage door openers, household appliances and medical products.
InteSys Technologies is formerly a division of Textron's Greenlee business
unit. InteSys Technologies, is a leading, full-service provider of engineered
assemblies serving the telecommunications, computer/business machine,
medical and other high-growth markets. Known for its innovative, high-quality
products such as precision-molded cellular phone covers for Nokia, Mitsubishi
and Motorola.
Textron is known around the world for its powerful brands such as Bell
Helicopter, Cessna Aircraft, Jacobsen, Kautex, Lycoming, E-Z-GO and
Greenlee, among others.
