Flexible polymers offer processing/design advantages

Brownsville, Texas --November 2, 2003-- Kraton A polymers reportedly
have a distinctive molecular structure that makes them extremely versatile.
The polymers can be precisely controlled and tailored for specific
applications, and can provide formulation flexibility in thermoplastic-processing
technology.
The polymers can be compounded to produce materials which can improve
strength, elasticity, temperature resistance, softness, appearance,
and grip in many applications including packaging, automotive, sports
equipment, toys, and molded and extruded goods.
Processing advantages include good flow, low shear processing, dimensional
stability of molded parts, and the ability for reprocessing. The polymers
offer better adhesion to polar substrates and mold definition and a
broader stiffness range.
