FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., Dec. 23 - Key Plastics L.L.C. today announced that is has acquired the assets of Soo Plastics -- a Sault Ste. Marie, Mich.-based plastic injection molding company -- pending final court approval of the deal. Terms of the agreement were not immediately disclosed.

The company, founded in 1979, began moving into the automotive supply market with General Motors. Today the company supplies an expansive list of products to General Motors and several Tier One suppliers, primarily for underhood applications.

According to Key Plastics President, Daniel Ajamian, rationale for the acquisition included Soo's strong relationships with customers, its long-term supply agreements, new business awards and reputation for quality. "Soo Plastics is an ideal addition to our Underhood Products Group. Their product and customer portfolio complement our operations and provide a greater breadth of products to our major customers."

Soo's major customers include General Motors, Mark IV, TKA- Fabco, CK-GM, and Delphi. The company's revenue for fiscal year 2002 was $28.8 million.
