New Hoist increases productivity and safety

The new Midaco Lift hoist is said to increase productivity and safety when doing repetitive lifting or precise load placement. With one hand or just two fingers and about 3.5 lbs of effort, an operator can safely lift up to 150 or 500 lbs (70 or 228 kg), according to the company. The operator grabs the touch-sensitive handle. Using servodriven motors, the hoist is said to take over the majority of a load, allowing the operator to lift and position the load.

According to the company, the use of this hoist in lifting applications reduces fatigue and the risk of injury while promoting a more ergonomic and productive work environment. Useful for the manufacturing, distribution, medical, assembly and other industries, the hoist is designed for applications that demand repetitive lifting or precise positioning of loads.

The hoist is designed for use with a standard lift hook or optional lifting devices such as magnets. This system can be quickly installed and used immediately, the company says.
