WASHINGTON, D.C.--January 12, 2004-- On Tuesday, February 3, 2004, the NAM's OSHA Policy Subcommittee will hold its meeting at the NAM Headquarters, 1331 Pennsylvania Ave., NW, Suite 600, Washington, DC 20004, 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. A great deal of action on the OSHA front is currently taking place in the courts. The cases which will be dealt with in the upcoming months have to do with metal working fluids, the Freedom of Information Act and OSHA's so-called egregious penalty policy. All of these legal actions have broader implication outside of their specific issue. We will make sure we have great legal minds in the room to discuss and explain these cases. Also included will be an update on everyone favorite issue "ergonomics" (I know - we all wish it would just go away). Also on the agenda is an update on the ANSI Z-10 Safety and Health draft standard from Alan Leibowitz with ITT. Additionally, there will be practical presentation on arc flash protection. As always the meeting is a great opportunity to interact with your fellow safety and health or association professionals.
