INSIGHT TOKYO Toyota Motor Corp. on Tuesday put on the domestic market the Voltz versatile
utility vehicle it has developed jointly with General Motors Corp. (GM)
of the United States, the automaker said. The 1.8-liter Voltz is designed to "establish a new genre of vehicle
that boasts SUV (sport-utility vehicle) flair, fun-to-drive attributes
and station wagon-like utility," Toyota's Chief Engineer Takeshi Yoshida
said. The Voltz will be produced at New United Motor Manufacturing Inc., a
