PLM Software Applications
Acquisition by INCAT
Seattle, WA, USA--(Jobwerx News)--INCAT, a provider of software solutions
and associated services to automotive, aerospace and industrial manufacturers,
acquires Cadpo.
INCAT (RIC: ICN.L) is listed on AIM, a market operated by the London Stock
Exchange, in the Software and Computer Services sector, sub sector 972
Computer Services. Founded in 1989, INCAT is an international provider
of software services and solutions focused on Product Lifecycle Management
(PLM), principally to the automotive, aerospace and durable goods manufacturing
industries. PLM seeks to improve a manufacturing company’s product development
processes and its ability to use product-related information to make better
business decisions and deliver better products to its clients.
CAD Potential, Inc. (Cadpo) is a Denver, Colorado-based provider of engineering
knowledge technology products and services, including the only learning
management system (LMS) in the industry – “i.get.it®” – that supports
multiple PLM software applications.
Founded in 1988, Cadpo has maintained local training centers in the United
States, in Denver and Detroit, and, to support a growing Asia-Pacific
presence, in Singapore. The Cadpo executive team and staff will continue
to operate the company and service clients, operating within the INCAT
group
“This brings to INCAT the most advanced learning management system in
the world for training mechanical engineers,” said INCAT CEO Ulrich Herter.
“And it is exactly what the industry needs at this time – a method to
deliver consistent, effective engineering-related knowledge transfer.
We have placed INCAT at the forefront in revolutionizing how engineers
are trained and certified.”
Cadpo, using its proprietary LMS i.get.it, has partnered with The Society
of Automotive Engineers (SAE) to develop the SAE Automotive CAD Certification
program – the industry’s only international program that sets the standard
for developing and measuring automotive CAD skills globally. Applying
i.get.it online learning and classroom training, the program includes
testing and formal certifications. Certification is offered in the use
of UGNX® and CATIA® CAD software for automotive design.
In addition, INCAT acquires Cadpo’s consulting-based services branded
“Ready5,” that deploys a cross-trained team of engineering, manufacturing
and PLM experts to provide on-site or off-site training and services at
a moment’s notice. Ready5 experts serve more than 500 clients worldwide
annually.
“These best practices-based services from Cadpo expand INCAT’s overall
best practices delivery strategy that includes our iCHECK™ software, the
industry’s leading CAD data quality assurance tool,” Herter added.
“Joining INCAT broadens our opportunities to deliver our
unique learning system within the industry worldwide,” said Kevin Noe,
President and CEO of Cadpo. “And this is a plus for both INCAT and Cadpo
clients, as it creates a strong portfolio comprised of education services,
professional services and consulting, and proprietary software.”
INCAT is headquartered in the UK (Bristol) and in North America (Detroit)
with 12 offices in the United States, four offices in France, three offices
in Mexico and Germany, two offices in Canada, and offices in Japan and
the Netherlands. INCAT employs more than 650 people, and has more than
2,000 clients worldwide including Ford, DaimlerChrysler, Honda, Northrop
Grumman, Boeing, Airbus, BAE Systems, AugustaWestland and Joy Mining.
