Mar., 05/Hamburg, GMBH and Bologna, Italy/ -- Körber PaperLink is strengthening its packaging activities for the international paper, tissue and absorbent hygiene market by merging Wrapmatic, Casmatic S.p.A. and Innopack s.r.l., all located in Bologna/Italy. The new company will be called KPL Packaging S.p.A and also be located in Bologna. With the combined know-how of the market leaders Casmatic and Wrapmatic, KPL Packaging will be the packaging specialist for all related industries worldwide.

US-based Pemco Inc., manufacturer of cut-size wrapping and cartonizing technology, will continue its activities as the key North American manufacturing location for Körber PaperLink’s packaging activities.

This organisational change will concentrate the competences and offer state of the art technology to the customers of all Körber PaperLink companies: E.C.H. Will, Kugler-Womako, Pemco, Fabio Perini and future KPL Packaging. The packaging machines and technologies will continue to be manufactured under the names of Wrapmatic, Casmatic and Pemco.

With this step, the Körber PaperLink companies will be able to offer even more competitive technology to their customers and gain efficiency by producing machines in two different currency regions, which increase the proximity to the market.
