Wixom, MI--January 15, 2004-- What makes these machining centers and cylindrical grinders "serious" machines? Very simply, the way they're built. Rugged, for serious metalcutting
professionals who depend on top performance from their machines. That
means grinders and machining centers designed from the castings up to
run under incredible loads 24 hours a day, year-in and year-out, holding
the same exacting precision for far longer than other machines. Providing a range of horizontal spindle machining centers, from 40-taper
machines in 1969 ipm feeds (achieved with unique hybrid roller boxways)
to 50-taper production platforms with work areas of 65 x 55 x 45 inches.
All are available with a variety of high-speed spindles, high-torque direct
drive or geared head spindles, tool magazines, fourth or fifth axis tables,
and a host of mechanical and control options. Most importantly, it has all the features our larger machines are known
for. With a robust, cast iron base and high-performance spindle (30hp),
the FA400 can perform at top speeds every day, all day. Of course, you
can still have all the "big machine" options you need. Like hydraulic
fixturing, larger tool magazines, or automated components for unmanned
operation. Click here to view more current news articles Did you find this material interesting? Comment via FEEDBACK
