Brookfield, WI--March 16, 2004-- Milwaukee Electric Tool Corp.

The manufacturer of branded professional electric tools in its signature

local plant, 13135 W. Lisbon Road, to a factory in Greenwood, Miss.
The latest move will result in the loss of about 50 nonunion manufacturing

The company began transferring work to Greenwood, a community
with a population of about 18,500 in the delta of western Mississippi,
in early 2002. At the time METC initially announced the layoffs.there
were 450 employees, excluding hourly production workers, at its headquarters
in Brookfield. About 130 manufacturing jobs were moved from Brookfield
to Mississippi.
The Greenwood factory, which Milwaukee Electric Tool purchased in 2001
and expanded last year, is already is producing a line of saw blades.
Two similar lines of blades and one line of hole saws, all of which currently
are produced at the Brookfield plant, will be moved to the Greenwood factory
this year.
