Seattle, WA, USA--(Jobwerx News)--Cessna will experience significant
growth in 2005 with 10 new Caravan deliveries planned to aircraft operators
in Spain, Finland, Poland, and Russia.
Approximately 60 Caravans currently operate in Europe. "The Caravans
we are delivering to these countries are to operators that have never
owned a Caravan before," said Pana Poulios, Cessna Regional Sales Manager.
"Part of the reason these customers are joining the Cessna Caravan family
is the irrefutable reputation the Caravan has established over the last
20 years as a highly reliable and economical workhorse with superb mission
flexibility for executive transport, personal use, or cargo operations."
Spain
Spain
In May 2005, Cessna delivered the first of seven Super Cargomasters
to a new cargo company based in Madrid, Spain. The remaining Super Cargomasters
will be delivered in July and August 2005. Prior to this time, four
Caravans operated in Spain.
The new cargo company, Air Pack, plans to fly its first mission with
the Super Cargomaster in late May. As one of the only cargo services
in the area, Air Pack has already developed an impressive clientele
list and is setting the standard for cargo transportation between Madrid
and key financial business centers in Europe. Mark Blomfield of MB Aviacion,
Cessna's Authorized Sales Representative (ASR) for Spain, played a key
role in securing this sale. Finland
Finland
Cessna will deliver a Grand Caravan to Oulun Tilauslento in Finland
in June 2005. The Grand Caravan will replace the operator's legacy piston
twin aircraft, and will support an existing cargo operation. Peter Bennedsen
of BenAir A/S, Cessna's ASR for Finland, assisted in facilitating this
sale.
Poland
The keys to the 1,500th Caravan were presented to customer Radoslav
Miskiewicz of GEMI Ltd. in April 2005 at Aero Friedrichshafen. GEMI
Ltd., a trading company in the ferroalloys industry, is headquartered
in Poland and will use the aircraft for private and business travel.
The 1,500th Caravan is equipped with the luxurious OASIS interior, and
is the first OASIS-equipped Caravan to be delivered to Poland. Loyd's
Investments, Cessna's ASR for Poland, was instrumental in this sale.

Russia
Cessna delivered Russia's first Grand Caravan with an OASIS interior
in March 2005 to an established company headquartered in Russia. The
aircraft is based in Moscow, and regularly flies company personnel to
and from outlying facilities, generally within a 600-mile radius from
Moscow. Loyd's Investments, Cessna's ASR for Russia, was critical to
closing this sale.
EBACE
A Grand Caravan with OASIS interior will be on display at the European
Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition (EBACE) in Geneva, Switzerland,
May 18-20, 2005. It is scheduled to arrive at Geneva International Airport
on May 16. The Grand Caravan will have a special commemorative insignia
recognizing the Caravan's 20th year of continuous production. After
EBACE, the Grand Caravan will travel throughout Europe and Russia as
part of the 20th anniversary worldwide demonstration tour.
With over 1,500 Caravans successfully operating in a variety of missions
worldwide, the Caravan's wide performance envelope is legendary. The
interior can be configured in a variety of ways to accommodate specific
mission requirements. The most frequent Caravan payload consists of
people, freight or a combination of both. The Caravan was first introduced
in 1985, and was originally designed to provide commercial operators
such as Federal Express with a more efficient way to transport cargo.
The Caravan fleet operates in 68 countries, logs over 70,000 hours per
month, and has exceeded 8 million flight hours. This Sure Thing from
Cessna has repeatedly proven the value of its simple and robust design,
reliable systems and safe and forgiving flight characteristics.
