Jan 16 - New metal/plastic fasteners can be installed quickly and easily without the use of tools by simply pressing them into properly sized round holes in any sheet material.

The PEM Snap-In panel fasteners, available from Arconix can be installed after final component assembly in metal or plastic sheets in panels as thin as 0.92mm and as thick as 1.65mm.

They are designed with a plastic self-captive retainer whose 'fingers' grip the mounting sheet to hold the fastener securely in place. They feature screws with steel threads and a six-lobe black ABS plastic cap. A slot screw drive in the cap is standard but there is a Phillips, option as well.

One screw length is offered M3 through to M4. The plastic caps can also be coloured for easier identification and marking.
