Flexible packaging leader expands facility Global packaging company, Amcor, expands flexible packaging capabilities in printing and adhesive laminating at their Madison, WI plant.
Amcor Flexibles, Mundelein IL, announces the installation of a new 10
color rotogravure printing press, new adhesive laminator and a Clean Room
finishing area in its flexible packaging facility located in Madison,
Wisconsin. “These investments, totaling $13 million, demonstrate
Amcor’s ongoing commitment to meeting our customers’ requirements
for packaging innovation, quality and clean manufacturing in the healthcare,
personal care, food and beverage industries,” comments Peter Brues,
President of Amcor Flexibles’ Healthcare sector.
Concurrent with the installation of the new press and adhesive laminator,
the Madison plant invested in a new incinerator to provide the dual benefit
of reducing emissions and reducing energy consumption by recycling the
energy for use in the plant. “The new incinerator and our solvent
recovery system for inks reflect Amcor’s aim to achieve best practice
environmental management across all its operations worldwide,” adds
Todd Hurd, General Manager in Madison. Leveraging Amcor’s global expertise in rotogravure printing, Amcor Flexibles Madison is the latest addition to the numerous Rotomec gravure presses in operation at various Amcor production facilities world-wide. Amcor Flexibles is part of Amcor
