"In addition to our local school visits, this car will be seen at 21 parades in Lucas County this year, as well as the D.A.R.E Association of Ohio Conference and the D.A.R.E. National Conference in Nashville, Tennessee," said Brent Warner, a Deputy in the Lucas County Sheriff's Office who heads the D.A.R.E. program. "BASF did an amazing job, and the design work and colors are just wonderful. The BASF people in Whitehouse have been super to work with - they're very community-oriented."

Founded in 1983 in Los Angeles, Calif., D.A.R.E. is a law enforcement-led series of classroom lessons that teaches students from kindergarten through 12th grade how to resist peer pressure and live drug- and violence-free lives. The program has proven so successful that it is currently being implemented in nearly 80 percent of our nation's school districts and in more than 54 countries around the world.
