Chemicals unit to feature corrosion inhibitors and biocides at Expo

BASF Performance Chemicals to present a portfolio of corrosion inhibitors, nonionic surfactants, water-soluble polymers, chelating agents, and biocides at 2007 NACE Expo.

On March 11-15, at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center, Nashville, Tenn., at the NACE Corrosion Conference and Expo, BASF will showcase anti-corrosion solutions for a broad range of applications - including water treatment, oilfield and metal surface treatment.

Visitors to Booth 1021 will be able to learn about BASF’s broad portfolio of corrosion inhibitors, nonionic surfactants, water-soluble polymers, chelating agents, and biocides.

A highlight of BASF’s presence at NACE is Aseptrol* Biocide, a cost-effective, easy-to-use tablet designed to keep cooling towers clean. The Aseptrol technology was part of the Engelhard acquisition in 2006 and is a new addition to BASF’s biocides portfolio.

Also on display are:
· Lugalvan* P corrosion inhibitor - polymeric quarternary ammonium based product.
· Korantin* PP, Korantin* PM corrosion inhibitors - powerful, less toxic alternatives to inorganic corrosion inhibitors.
· Trilon* BAD, Trilon* BAQ chelating agents - less corrosive alternatives to traditional acids.
· Lutropur* MSA acid - strong acid for scale control.
