Metal injection molding seminar BASF to host technical seminar on Catamold, a metal injection molding session focusing on materials, design and manufacturing of parts.
BASF will sponsor a technical seminar on Catamold* and metal injection molding (MIM) on Friday, Jan. 12, 2007 from 9 a.m. to 12:00 noon EST at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla. Catamold is the Technology for Powder Injection Molding from BASF. BASF has assembled a team of MIM experts who will provide training on
materials, part design and manufacturing. The BASF seminar is open to
product development engineers, procurement managers and others interested
in learning about the benefits of MIM for applications that involve complex
metal parts that are currently machined or investment cast or multi-component
assemblies.
Topics for the three-hour training course will include advances in MIM, materials and properties, and part design rules, including developments in the manufacture of larger parts, and designing parts for better part-to-part and lot-to-lot consistency. BASF Catamold is a ready-to-mold feedstock for both MIM and ceramic injection molding * Catamold is a registered trademark of BASF AG.
