Keine appointed Sales Director for BASF Engineering Plastics business

BASF has appointed Joseph Keine, formerly with PPG Industries, as Sales Director for the Engineering Plastics business.

Keine is responsible for all the business’s sales activities in North America, including customer relationship management and coordination among BASF’s global customer support network. He and his team will focus on bringing value-added materials, services and systems to customers in the BASF Engineering Plastics business’s target market segments, which include automotive, industrial, consumer, power equipment, appliance, electrical and electronic, furniture, and oil and gas.

Prior to joining BASF, Keine was with PPG Industries for 22 years, most recently serving as Global Director. He worked extensively with automotive manufacturing companies and their tier suppliers.

BASF’s full portfolio of engineering plastics includes Ultramid® nylon 6 and nylon 6,6, Nypel® recycled nylon, Ultradur® polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), Petra® recycled polyethylene terephthalate (PET), Ultraform® polyacetal copolymers, and Ultrason® high-temperature injection molding resins.

Keine has a bachelor’s degree in business administration in marketing and communications from the University of Toledo, Toledo, Ohio.
