BASF introduces Refinish
Principles for Insurers workshop - Manufacturing News Center
September 13, 2004 -- SOUTHFIELD, Mich. USA -- Jobwerx News
-- "Refinish Principles for Insurers," a new workshop offered
by BASF as part of its VisionPLUS® University program, will help
insurance company representatives understand the automotive refinish
process.
The workshop is available on request through BASF training instructors and through qualified personnel at selected collision repair shops. Insurance company employees requesting workshops at BASF training centers, as well as shops interested in qualifying to teach the workshop, should contact BASF at 1-800-825-3000. "This workshop will give insurance company employees a better understanding of the automotive refinish process, including the products and procedures used and the steps that body shop paint technicians must follow for a proper repair," said Stanton Thornbury, VisionPLUS Program Manager for BASF's Automotive Refinish business in North America. "As a result, insurance representatives will be able to work more effectively with body shops and provide better service to their customers." The cost of the workshop is $100 at BASF Training Centers. There is no charge for the workshop when taken at a qualified collision repair center. There is a $5.00 fee for every CEU, not to exceed $100 annually. Additional information about this workshop and other BASF training is available at 1-800-825-3000 or at www.basfrefinish.com.
