Middle East’s booming aviation market, Bombardier Business Aircraft
will present its full-scale mock-up of the next generation aircraft, CSeries
airliner, which was first revealed in June. At the Dubai Airshow, Bombardier Business Aircraft will showcase an impressive range of jets from each of its innovative product families. The new Bombardier Learjet 60 XR jet will make its international debut, joining the super-midsize Bombardier Challenger 300, the widebody Bombardier Challenger 605 and high-speed Bombardier Global 5000 business aircraft on static display. “This 10th edition of the Dubai Airshow provides us with the opportunity to reassert our ongoing dedication to business aviation in the Middle East, as well as our commitment to innovation as we present our newest product offerings to the international market,” said Bob Horner, Vice-President, International Sales, Bombardier Business Aircraft. “With a firm footing in sales and customer support, we anticipate continued success in the Middle East for many years to come.” Bombardier Business Aircraft enjoys a strong presence in the Middle East with its regional sales headquarters and Skyjet International regional office both based in Dubai. Bombardier Regional Aircraft has been making impressive gains in the Middle East and North Africa, with recent orders for Bombardier CRJ900 regional jets and Bombardier Q- Series turboprops from several airlines in the region. “The overall Middle East regional airline fleet of aircraft is expected to grow by 150 per cent over the next 20 years, while we see the overall African fleet growing by 40 per cent in the 20 to 149 seat fleet,” said James Dailly, Senior Vice-president, Sales, Bombardier Regional Aircraft. “We are the only manufacturer that can offer families of regional jets ranging from 40 to 100 seats and turboprops ranging from 37 to 90 seats. “Our aircraft have a proven record of excellent performance and reliability in the sometimes unforgiving operating environment in desert regions,” added Mr. Dailly. ”We believe this record, and our aircraft families with their high commonality, will be a major factor as airlines and other operators modernize or expand their fleets.”
New CSeries mock-up continues its world tour Featured in the mock-up will be the forward galley with offset door configuration, two rows in business class, four rows in economy class and the aft galley with a lavatory area. The new cabin permits airlines to experience the convenience of overhead rotating bins and the cross-section fuselage was recently modified to provide additional passenger comfort. Global 5000: The high-speed Global 5000 jet combines superior transatlantic speed with the largest cabin in the super large segment. It features state-of-the-art, high-speed Internet connectivity and unmatched entertainment options as standard equipment as well as a heads-up flight display system, with the largest field-of-view of any business aircraft. The jet can connect Dubai-Cape Town non-stop with eight passengers and three crew*. The Global 5000 jet is now available with the Global Vision flight deck.
