Borealis to showcase latest plastics innovations at Interplastica Borealis to present the latest innovations to plastics processors, product manufacturers and designers at Interplastica 2008 in Moscow.
Borealis AG, Vienna, Austria, a leading provider of innovative, value
creating plastics solutions, invites plastics processors, product manufacturers
and designers to learn more about the benefits of polyethylene and polypropylene
materials at Interplastica 2008, 11th International Trade Fair for Plastics
and Rubber, which takes place in Moscow. Visitors can experience first-hand
how Borealis is providing solutions that deliver improved production efficiency
and end-product benefits to a wide range of industries and applications.
Reflecting the lively Russian market for plastics and rubber, representatives from Borealis will present the company’s latest innovations in infrastructure, automotive and advanced packaging, especially applications of particular interest to the Russian market. The Russian plastics industry is growing and growing, and remains one of the most dynamic growth sectors between St.Petersburg and Vladivostok. The continuous improvement and expansion of Russia’s infrastructure
create a huge market for Borealis’ innovative plastics materials,
which are used for the production of high quality energy transmission
and distribution cables, and pipe coatings. For the flexible packaging market, typical applications include carrier bags, heavy duty shipping sacks and cast film for bread packaging. An example of sustainable advanced packaging featured at the show is Borealis’ Borpact BC918CF grade, which is the latest innovation for packaging film that allows for downgauging and cost and material savings of up to 20%. For the Russian rigid plastics packaging sector, Borealis offers a wide variety of solutions, such as a new assortment of thin wall packaging grades and a new organoleptic PP grade, RE450MO, offering expanded design possibilities for closures while maintaining the odour and the taste of the drink. Machine manufacturer Netstal will be running Borealis’ thin wall packaging grade RJ470MO on its injection molding equipment at the Textima stand in Hall Forum, Stand FF44. With a high fluidity Melt Flow Rate of 70, this grade provides optimum transparency, quick demoulding and high output for containers with very thin walls.
