Bosch Packaging Technology
strategic partnership
Bosch Packaging Technology announces its cooperation with a leading supplier
of packaging and automation technology in the cartoning segment.
Bosch Packaging Technology, the leading supplier of total solutions in
packaging and process technology, has entered into a licensing agreement
with Paal Verpackungsmaschinen GmbH.
The agreement concentrates on cartoners for folding cartons. Under license
from Bosch, Paal will produce cartoners for the food sector which will
be integrated perfectly into the packaging lines of both companies.
For decades Bosch Packaging Technology has maintained a leading position
in the cartoning segment, especially in the pharmaceutical and food sectors.
This strategic partnership will enhance the companies’ market presence
and further underline the leading position of both companies. The cooperation
is aimed in particular at a significant increase in sales of complete
lines. The cartoners will be available through both companies’ distribution
networks.
The licensing agreement with Paal concerns the CBI and CBC cartoning machines.
These cartoners are characterized by a modular structure and a 3-stage
format. Standard pitches are 6", 9" and 12". Depending
on required performance, the cartoners’ operation is synchronized,
semi-continuous or continuous.
Cooperation will also allow both companies to develop their "bag-in-box"
business. The installations are available from both companies and may
be extended to form complete lines including case packing and palletizing.
The customers’ benefit: a complete line may be acquired from either
Bosch or Paal, with coordinated project management. Both companies consult
closely regarding quality, interfaces, technical specifications, component
selection and meeting deadlines.
