Chemtura plastics additives at Chinaplas

Largest manufacturer of plastics additives and flame retardant products, Chemtura, to showcase extensive range of products at the Chinaplas Exhibition.

Chemtura Corporation (formerly Crompton and Great Lakes), a global manufacturer and marketer of specialty chemicals, crop protection and pool, spa and home care products, will present their extensive line of plastics additives for the polyolefins, pvc and engineering plastics industries, and flame retardant products at the 21st International Exhibition on Plastics & Rubber Industries. The Chinaplas Exhibition will take place May 21st through May 24th at Guangzhou International Convention and Exhibition Centre Pazhou, Guangzhou, PR China.

The broad line of Chemtura plastic additives to be featured at Chinaplas covers the entire supply chain, from monomer and polymerization to finishing and compounding. For example, Chemtura’s MARK OBS organic based stabilizers provide superior performance, low cost and more environmentally friendly solutions for PVC stabilization. MARK OBS is the ideal heavy-metal-free stabilizer systems to replace lead stabilizers in the new generation of PVC rigid pipe and fittings and indoor profile applications, including vinyl flooring. Mark* OBS* stabilizers do not cross-link in high shear/heat machine conditions or cause cross-staining contamination with lead. They have been approved by pipe associations in terms of mechanical testing and hygienic properties and can be used in combination with other PVC additives.

Chemtura will also be introducing a series of blends for improving stabilization of PP in the area of BOPP, twin wall injection molding and fiber and is addressing TNPP usage concerns by developing new stabilization technology for PE.

Chemtura flame retardants are widely used in furniture and automobile foams and fabrics, computer monitor casings, circuit boards, wiring and other applications, including new FIREMASTER* 600 and 602 for approximately 10% greater efficiency.
