Printing ink suitable for performance on plastics

Suitable for a wide variety of plastics substrates, a new, ready-to-use metallic silver screen printing ink improves processing efficiency and minimizes waste.

Ciba launches ready-to-use metallic silver flatbed screen printing ink Ciba* XYMARA* Quicksilver SF-02 that offers the best available all-round combination of pinhole-free mirror effect, adhesion and print performance for plastics products. Suitable for a wide variety of plastic substrates, XYMARA Quicksilver SF-02 meets the needs of both ink makers and printers who prefer to produce mirror effects with ready-to-use printing ink. It provides an economic and productive printing alternative to foil blocking and film metallization. Quicksilver SF-02 is suitable for use on its own or together with colorants for decorative effects.

XYMARA Quicksilver SF-02 is used to produce ultra-shiny decorative mirror effects on a wide range of transparent plastics substrates. End applications include high-quality point-of-sale displays and graphics for packaging and labels for consumer goods such as perfumes, fashion wear and luxury beverages.

XYMARA Quicksilver SF-02 complements and extends Ciba’s range of mirror-effect pigments.
