MOUNT OLIVE, N.J., USA -- BASF's new Larolux™ system reduces costs for three-dimensional part coating

BASF has introduced the Larolux coating curing system that utilizes lower energy ultraviolet (UV) light under a carbon dioxide atmosphere to quickly cure coatings placed on three-dimensional metal, plastic or wood objects.

"This new technology provides manufacturers with important cost-cutting benefits that can improve their products as well as the efficiency of their operations," said Werner Peter, Business Director for BASF's Performance Chemicals business in North America. "The Larolux system can cut curing times for coated three-dimensional parts, and reduce VOCs and energy costs. It also reduces or eliminates many problems that part manufacturers face including 'heat-effect,' and coating viscosity issues that present formulating challenges."
